The Great SanFrancisco EarthQuake

Its been 100yrs yesterday, but they fought the fires untill friday, i was watching a show about it last night on Discovery it was interesting how it all went down, mind you most of the fire would not have happend if the mayor at the time had not turned down the fire cheifs ideas for better water storage and such. 8.3 on the rickter scale is alot. April 18 1906 would change SanFrancsico for ever, but every moment there is the threat of another great Quake. the Quake did damage some of Sico but it was the FIRE that did the most damage.


It happend again in 1989 (could have been 88, i get confused) but it was not as bad, but even still when your city is on a fault line, its never good. that one was only 6.0 or something but even still. I have never been in a Quake, and i don;t want to be in one, so i have no idea what it feels like. But i hope they did learn about the past so in the future it will not as be bad.
