When it goes bad, do we turn to God

Its interesting talking to people in my group of friends, and how they are with their own walk with God, some are going along well, while others, just act the part, i know this one girl she lost someone close ot her in her family , now shes saying shes been a christian on and off for a few years now, but we all know better. Anyway when she lost a close family member it was interesting how instead of going to God with her pain and problems she went the OTHER WAY and drank and smoked like there was no tomorrow. i even went to vist her and wanted to help her , its hard to help some when they don't want to help themselfs. I asked her if she wanted to pray she said what did God ever do for me, he too my family away and now it hurts ALL the time. i said God does not close doors with out opening a window, now i don;t really talk to her much, unless she is on my case about some silly tattoo. I pray everyday that God does help her with her pain, even though she doesn't ask for any help, i was never close with this girl, in any form.

But How hard is it really to turn to God when it goes bad? i don;t know about you, but i turn to God even when its going GOOD, i thank him everyday for the things he does for me, even when its a heavy downpour of Rain, i thank God for it. I think its interesting how few people do turn to God when it goes good, if we all turned to God even for a little thing like crossing the street safely, A thank full heart God will love.
