Doing God's work, who want to do it ?
Me and Steve Bremner went to a missions dinner last night at Alburn Bible chaple last night, it was very good, both the food and the talk after wards, saw a few people i knew, and met some new people.
I found it interesting that so few christians bother go to the most needed places in the world, and even fewer christian give money and the few that do, FEWER even bother to give to christian missions, how sad is that.
I think its awsome that people are spreading God's word around the world, i don't know what my family would say (most if not all don't believe or even follow God, and those that do, well their fruit shows what they do.) if i was called by God to go on a missions. it would be interesting.
But the speaker last night, i forget his name, but he's a dutch and very funny, had 8 things that were important.
1> I believe the great commision applies to me
2> I know my spirtial gifts are ...
3> Have some one who shares your dream
4> My closeest friends are happy about my dream
5> i am debt free
6> My Defult is on cross cultural ministry
7>I have group of old christian friends that pray for me, that i also go to for adivice
8> I read my bible everday and pray.
I thought last night was very cool, at 1st i didn't want to go, but thought about it and changed my mind, the girl at me and steves table was goign to the north part of Cambodia, teaching children the bible, christine i think her name is, she also talked about how hard it was trying to get those 10 girls in to 2 groups, she didn't speak their lanugage, and they didn't speak english, so i bet it was fun for everyone, but i was thinking, how many different translations of the bible there needs to be.
There needs to be more people that go to those unreached places in the world, go to a place that there isnt already 200 other missions there, be the only one.
