The Day of Days

62 yrs ago tommrow June 6th, the Allies landed on the beaches of Normandy, in order to stop the Nazi world domination. by May of the next year the main part of the war was over, so many young men and woman died for our freedom.

My Grandfather Charles Baxter was in world war 2, came back alive, died in 1985, my dad has his metals that he was awarded. i know very little about what he did in the war, i so want to learn more about him and what he did, but no one remembers or wants to tell me. But i do have the metals to look at and go on line to find out what they mean. i did see a metal that said something about being in Germany.

i love to learn about the 2 world wars, and Korea, and Vietnam, and ( the boars war 1897-1903). These things need to be remembered.

They died for us, the least thing we could do is ask them what they did, and how they felt. i thank God for what they did was so amazing.

So on Monday take a moment and remember what they did for us. and remember War is never the answer. God is.
